Fikris’ Experience
Fikri Rahmat, a student
of senior high school number 2 Prabumulih be one of the representatives of
Indonesia for a student exchange program to the united states. Student who had
been a chairman of the student council at senior high school number 2
Prabumulih selected as one of the reppresentatives of Indonesia after
successfully passing several test in 2012. He become the representatve of
Indonesia for cultural exchange for one years in the united states he
introduces a variety of Indonesia culture to the students and the people who
live in united states. He come back to Prabumulih in July. He got many
experiences and memories of when he was in United states. Now he is back to
senior high scholl number 2 Prabumulih to continue his studies for one more
year and he told of his experiences when he was in united states.
During one year in the
united states he lived with his adoptive parents. Weather in the united states
is contrast with weather in Indonesia, he was not familiar with the weather in
the unted states. Indonesia cultur and united states culture very different in
school the students call their teachers not with sir or mom but with the name
for example, their teachers name is Alex, they will call Alex not sir Alex.
This is very different with Indonesia but Fikri kept calling his teacher with
“sir: or “mom”. In the united states he saw many women wear a sexy outfit. In
there many teenagers kissing in public in his school there are sport facility
like football field, swimming pool, and other. In the school the students use
ipad to learn and just there are 5 lessons. He got three months for holiday and
he is jealus when his friend can buy a car from his money.
